Dearest gentle reader, is there anything more elegant than a Bridgerton wedding? Sophie (Yerin Ha) and Benedict (Luke Thompson) joined the series’ long history of swoon-worthy nuptials in Season 4, with Sophie donning a gown befitting of the former Lady in Silver. The series, based on Julia Quinn’s bestselling novels, centers on the marriage mart of Regency-era England and the eligible aristocratic singletons who attempt to sparkle during the highly competitive social season. Sophie and Benedict were just the latest to follow in a long line of wedded couples, including Daphne and Simon, Kate and Anthony, Penelope and Colin, Francesca and John, and young Queen Charlotte and young George. A wedding dress fit for an empress. When Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria (Philip Froissant) proposes to Elisabeth “Sisi” von Wittelsbach (Devrim Lingnau) over his intended betrothed — Sisi’s older sister, Duchess Helene (Elisa Schlott) — Sisi finds herself navigating complex court politics and barely surviving her new husband’s power-hungry family, especially her scheming mother-in-law (Melika Foroutan). But before she learns how to balance out life in the oppressive 1800s Habsburg royal court, she dons a voluminous gown complete with delicate veil and marries the emperor. But is their unexpected love connection enough to ward off naysayers, including Maximilian (Johannes Nussbaum), Franz Joseph’s power-hungry younger brother?

Free-spirited single mother Georgia Miller (Brianne Howey) goes full Cinderella with her 10-foot-long wedding gown in Season 2 of this comedic drama created by Sarah Lampert. The series follows Georgia and her teenage children, Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca), after they move to quaint Wellsbury, Massachusetts. But the secretive, charming, ever-resourceful Georgia is running from something in a dark past that just might come back to haunt her, her kids, and the town they call home. Jennifer Robertson (Single All the Way), Felix Mallard (Locke & Key), and Sara Waisglass (Degrassi: Next Class) also star.

When global superstar Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez) learns that her partner, Bastian (Maluma), is cheating on her, their plans for an onstage, live streamed wedding come crashing down in real time. Distraught and still wearing her elaborate gown, Kat looks out at the crowd of adoring fans. She sees a man, Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson), holding a sign that reads “Marry Me” — and does just that. Charlie, who was attending the concert at the behest of his friend and estranged daughter, soon learns that impulsively marrying a world-renowned musician with a history of catastrophic, high-profile failed marriages comes with complications. But he didn’t anticipate their potentially life-changing connection in this rom-com, directed by Kat Coiro (You, Me & Tuscany), that also stars John Bradley (3 Body Problem), Sarah Silverman (Maestro), and Michelle Buteau (Survival of the Thickest).

Emma’s (Miranda Cosgrove) airy, tropics-worthy dress is at odds with the family drama going down in this rom-com directed by Mark Waters (La Dolce Villa). The movie kicks off when Emma returns home from London and tells her mom, Lana (Brooke Shields), that she’s getting married in Thailand in a month. Lana is hesitant, but also happy that her daughter seems so fulfilled. That is, until she discovers that Emma’s fiancé, RJ (Sean Teale), is the son of the man who broke her heart years ago (Benjamin Bratt). Can these future in-laws put aside their history for long enough to let their kids have a dream wedding? Or will their hurt feelings prove too powerful? Rachael Harris (Lucifer) and Chad Michael Murray (Sullivan’s Crossing) also star.

Claire Randall (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) share an epic, history-defying love story — and their beginning was equally complicated. When Claire, a former combat nurse from the 1940s, is whisked back in time to 18th century Scotland, she’s forced to marry the Highland warrior Jamie in order to escape a villainous British officer’s clutches. Their last-minute wedding ceremony had Claire donning a gown that was borrowed from the madam of a local brothel, but she wears it with confidence despite the guests’ jeers. The most important part? Jamie can’t keep his eyes off her. This romantic historical drama series, developed by Ronald D. Moore (For All Mankind), is based on Diana Gabaldon’s beloved novels and also stars Graham McTavish (The Witcher), Gary Lewis (The Vanishing), Lotte Verbeek (Nuremberg), Duncan Lacroix (Outlaw King), and Laura Donnelly (Beowulf).

It’s understandable to crave simplicity in your wedding dress when your parents are criminals. That’s the case for Parker (Nina Dobrev), a yoga instructor whose wedding week goes sideways when her straightlaced fiancé, Owen (Adam Devine), begins to suspect that the robbers who recently hit the bank where he works are his estranged future in-laws, Billy (Pierce Brosnan) and Lilly (Ellen Barkin). He’s proven right when a vengeful crime boss (Poorna Jagannathan) abducts Parker and demands a $5 million ransom. Owen, Billy, and Lilly are forced to work together to steal the money in order to get Parker back in this romantic action comedy directed by Tyler Spindel (Kinda Pregnant). Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Richard Kind (The Watcher) co-star.

Bride-to-be Amelia (Eve Hewson) has picked the perfect dress to marry into one of Nantucket’s wealthiest families, the Winburys. But when a shocking death derails the celebration, everyone in attendance becomes a suspect. That includes her fiancé, Benji (Billy Howle), and his entire family: his elegant, self-obsessed novelist mother, Greer (Nicole Kidman); his suspiciously charming father, Tag (Liev Schreiber); and his brothers, Thomas (Jack Reynor) and Will (Sam Nivola). As the local police investigate, Amelia slowly uncovers the many secrets binding the Winburys together — and threatening to tear them apart. Dakota Fanning (Ripley), Meghann Fahy (Sirens), and Donna Lynne Champlin (Feel the Beat) also star.

Nothing goes as expected for Rachel (Camila Morrone) on her wedding day — or during the entire week leading up to her wedding. So it’s appropriate that her dress is the result of yet another kerfuffle (no spoilers) involving her fiancé Nicky’s (Adam DiMarco) increasingly unsettling family. But as the chaotic week unfolds, Rachel is confronted by a feeling of utter wrongness. Is this paranoia just the stereotypical pre-wedding jitters, or does something darker lie in wait? Creator Haley Z. Boston’s horror series about a young couple grappling with the ins and outs of saying, “I do,” also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh (Atypical), Ted Levine (American Gangster), and Jeff Wilbusch (Unorthodox).

When Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) first arrived in Virgin River, she never expected to fall in love with the charming bar owner, Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson). But six seasons later, the two finally tied the knot while surrounded by their close friends and family — after exchanging their vows in a private, romantic spot by the river. Mel’s floral gown left Jack appropriately breathless, but it wasn’t always that simple. While they were instantly drawn to each other, Mel, a nurse practitioner who moved to the eponymous small town for a change of pace, was still working through the heartbreak of losing her husband, and Jack was battling his own demons. But look how far they’ve come. This romantic drama series, created by Sue Tenney (Good Witch), also stars Tim Matheson (Fletch), Annette O’Toole (Smallville), and Colin Lawrence (Riverdale).

When Asha’s (Pallavi Sharda) overbearing parents (Veena Sood and Rizwan Manji) set up a dating profile on her behalf, she strikes a deal with them: If she goes on one date and attends the spring-to-summer wedding circuit, will they let her live her life and focus on her career? They agree, and Asha’s date with Ravi (Suraj Sharma) goes just as badly as she expected. But when they accidentally meet up again at a wedding, they agree to be each other’s go-to plus-ones to ward off their friends and families’ matchmaking attempts. This wedding-filled rom-com features plenty of gorgeous dresses and sarees, but the blush pink bridal number, worn by Asha’s sister, Priya (Ari Afsar), is especially stunning. Sean Kleier (Sam), Manoj Sood (Christmas with the Singhs), and Sonia Dhillon Tully (A Perfect Match) also star.

Weddings are stressful enough without your dad trying to one-up your future father-in-law. Sarah (Allison Strong) has found the perfect guy, Tyler (Roland Buck III), and a fairy-tale dress, but the rest of the wedding is up in the air when her prideful father, Kenny (Adam Sandler), refuses financial help from Tyler’s dad, Kirby (Chris Rock). In the week leading up to the big day, Kenny’s penny-pinching results in one avoidable catastrophe after another, including damaged hotel rooms and a disastrous run-in with some bats. Rachel Dratch (Wine Country), Steve Buscemi (Wednesday), and Katie Hartman (Younger) co-star in this comedy, directed by Robert Smigel (Leo).
