In Brazen, novelist Grace comes home at the request of her sister, Kathleen. At first, things are going well: Grace meets Kathleen’s neighbor, Ed, a local detective who happens to be a big fan of Grace’s work and even takes her out on a date. But after Kathleen is murdered, Grace and Ed must team up to solve the case.

The film is based on the 1988 book Brazen Virtue by Nora Roberts, making it the 12th title of Roberts’ to be adapted to the screen.

Alyssa Milano as Grace Miller

The Character: Grace is a bestselling mystery author, who finds herself using her investigative skills when her sister is killed. She teams up with Detective Jennings, and sparks fly.

Sam Page as Detective Ed Jennings

The Character: Ed, a fan of Grace’s novels, jumps at the chance to take her out on a date after their chance meeting. But their big night is ruined when he brings her home to discover Kathleen’s dead body. Ed and Grace then have to team up to figure out who killed Kathleen — and why.

Emilie Ullerup as Kathleen

The Character: While battling a bitter divorce and custody battle, high school teacher Kathleen moonlights as Desiree, a webcam dominatrix. But when Kathleen is killed, her secrets begin to come to light.

The Character: Jonathan, Kathleen’s estranged husband, quickly becomes a suspect in her murder. However, suspicion shifts when other webcam girls also wind up dead.
