Crew Girl Season 1 Cast Guide: Meet Miku Martineau and Her Crew

Rowers, rivals, romances, and messy parents — Easton Prep has them all.

    By Brookie McIlvaine
    Sept. 10, 2026

Crew Girl welcomes you to Easton Prep, an East Coast high school where students arrive by helicopter and boat, absentee parents deliver difficult news via celebrity Cameo video, and campus infrastructure bears teenagers’ surnames. From the moment 16-year-old Southern California native Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) steps onto her manicured new campus, she’s thrown into a world of entitlement and staggering privilege filled with a fascinating cast of characters.

The soapy new series opens with Teagan and her mom, Ella Tao (Jessica Paré), moving to Eagles Cove in search of a fresh start after a scandal rocks their family. When Teagan stumbles into the coxswain seat of the boys’ crew team, she becomes entangled in lies, competition, and romance.

Competing for the coveted stroke seat next to the coxswain are sixth-generation Easton Prep prince Josh Regis (Sam Braun), underdog townie Cam Dillinger (Kyle Clark), and Josh’s perpetually underestimated cousin, Ryder Regis (Connor Paton). The remaining rowers — Bronson “Baloo” Garner (Jude Wilson), Damon Quaid (Vincent Muller), Noah Bainbridge (Riley Davis), Perry Chou (Connor Wong), and Chris “Crab Catcher” Padmore (Jarrett Carlington) — bring plenty of baggage of their own aboard, from love interests on the rival team to threats of expulsion.

The drama, of course, doesn’t stop at the shoreline. Classmates like queen bee Britney (Sage Linder) and punk princess Juliet (Olga Petsa) definitely don’t make things any less complicated. Teagan has to figure out a way to lead her team through it all and to a Haverford Cup win.

And the Easton Prep students aren’t the only ones causing chaos in Eagles Cove; their parents are just as messy — and many of them have history with each other. Struggling to keep these preppy people — and their labyrinthine relationships — apart? Tudum’s got you. Keep reading for a who’s who of Crew Girl, now streaming on Netflix.

The boat

Miku Martineau

as Teagan Tao
About the Character

Teagan is a fiercely driven rower whose life revolves around the water. Being a coxswain was never part of her plan, and she wrestles with going from a solo-sport athlete to a leader and a teammate. Her magnetism, wit, and authenticity make her a force to be reckoned with, both in and out of the boat. “What I love about Teagan is she has a passion,” says Martineau. “She also recognizes that she’s still a young girl and gives herself grace to make mistakes. I hope young women who watch feel empowered to give themselves grace.”

“Miku ican be so vulnerable but still not lose that confidence. She can play both sides simultaneously, which is incredibly hard to do,” says showrunner Vivian Lin. “Also, you’d completely believe that she is a badass; that girl could go to the Olympics. I believe it.”

Sam Braun

as Josh Regis
About the Character

Josh Regis is the golden boy of Easton Prep’s rowing team, hailing from a powerful family whose name is literally on the boathouse. Entitled and privileged, Josh is used to getting his way on the team — until Teagan joins and disrupts the status quo. “Teagan’s this new girl, and she’s not fake in any way. He’s yearning for that blank slate,” Braun says. “He’s been putting on this mask for so long, and he just wants to be himself.”

Lin describes how difficult it was to find someone who could play both sides of Josh — the obnoxious and the sweet. “The big pivot is after you can’t stand him, he’s going to win you back. It was actually my most nervous moment of the show,” she says. “Sam is so considerate, charming. He brings so much vulnerability to Josh in such an unexpected way. You’re like, ‘Am I rooting for Josh?’”

Kyle Clark

as Cam Dillinger
About the Character

Cam Dillinger is the lone wolf of the team. As a townie and a financial aid student — known at Easton as a “faid” — he keeps his guard up. He’s the best rower on the team but is frequently overlooked for stroke seat in favor of the flashier Regis rowers. As an integral part of his family’s mechanic shop, Cam must juggle helping out financially at home with training for his dream: to make it onto the Junior National rowing team. “Kyle has this natural warmth and this boyishness. He brought a whole other layer to the character, which was just really beautiful,” says Lin.

The entire cast underwent rigorous training, so much so that Clark wonders whether he could actually hit Cam’s erg score. “It’s just everything you have for 2,000 meters. I’d have to really want it if I was going to get on the erg and beat that score,” says the actor.

Connor Paton

as Ryder Regis
About the Character

Ryder is Josh’s cousin — and sometimes his rival. Josh’s dad was the only heir to the Regis empire, but then Josh’s grandfather had an affair with the family’s dog walker, resulting in a secret daughter: Katrina, Ryder’s mom. As Cam puts it, “He’s less of an heir, more of a spare.” This chip on his shoulder fuels Ryder’s battle for stroke seat.

About the Character

Chris, better known as Crabby, is fresh from the junior boat and sits in bow seat. As his nickname would suggest, he’s prone to “catching a crab” — when an oar gets trapped in the water during a stroke and disrupts the boat. Teagan helps him move past the nickname and stand up to his teasing teammates.

 Jessica Paré

as  Ella Tao
About the Character

Ella is an optimist with a knack for curating the finer things in life. As a teen, she was crowned Miss Eagle’s Cove but always dreamed of something bigger. With her and Teagan’s lives in shambles, Ella scrambles to rebuild and soon discovers her hidden talents, resourcefulness, and a new sense of independence. Not to mention sparks with her childhood love, Coach Hayden (Thomas Cadrot), who is the “one that got away.”

“When I did the chem read with Jessica, I was like, ‘It’s you. You are my mother,’” says Martineau. “She has such free-spirited, fun, playful energy. It’s really good to have in contrast with Teagan. Teagan feels the need to parent her parent or get things figured out, which makes navigating their new life really interesting. There’s also so much love involved.”

Pare also brings a singular sense of humor to the role. “Jessica’s so funny, a hidden comedic genius. She has got such good timing on everything,” says Lin.

Cameos

Kesha

as Herself, for Cameo
About the Character

Juliet’s parents have a habit of sharing big news through celebrity Cameo messages to “soften the blow.” Zendaya tells Juliet her grandmother passed away. Kesha wishes her a happy birthday and tells her, “We all know it’s not a party till I walk in. Your parents wanted me to let you know that I’m not going to be walking in and neither will they — bummer.”

“We have the amazing and iconic Kesha make a cameo on our show,” says Martineau. “I did not know Kesha was going to be on our show until I saw the screener, so I was gagged. The cast loves to make videos and have fun together. I don’t know what possessed me to do this, but I was like, ‘Let’s make a music video to ‘Tik Tok’ by Kesha.” And then Kesha’s in our show. That was crazy.”
