Grief can be a lonely journey, but 11-year-old Nemo learns she doesn’t have to go through it alone. The dreamworld of Slumberland is a magical place where one’s imagination comes to life — but that includes nightmares too.

With the help of her outlaw friend Flip, Nemo traverses through her dreams hoping to see her dad one more time. Along the way, Nemo and Flip also run into several odd characters — some who are willing to help Nemo with her mission, while others have ulterior motives. Before embarking on this adventure of a lifetime, take a peek at some of the faces you’ll encounter along the way.

Jason Momoa

Flip

Don’t let the horns fool you. Half man and half monster, Flip isn’t the kind of creature you’ll see in your nightmares. The lovable outlaw befriends Nemo and guides her through dreams, hoping to help reunite the young girl with her late father.

Momoa is known for his roles as Drogo, the Dothraki warlord in Game of Thrones, Duncan Idaho in Dune and, of course, everybody’s favorite amphibious superhero in Aquaman.

Marlow Barkley

Nemo

There’s a lot of change going on in the world of this 11-year-old. From grieving to moving, her once-idyllic life with her father has come crashing down. Nemo isn’t one to easily give up, however. She’s hopeful that she’ll be able to reunite with her dad one day through her dreams, with a little help from Flip.

Slumberland is Barkley’s feature film debut. The actor previously starred in Single Parents and has lent her voice to shows like Amphibia, The Loud House and South Park.

Kyle Chandler

Peter

Peter raised his daughter to have an unconventional childhood. They reside in a lighthouse and have an extremely tight bond. At night, he tells her stories of his childhood dreams in Slumberland with Flip. Peter encourages his daughter to indulge in her imagination, which will end up being her greatest asset after he’s lost at sea.

Chandler won an Emmy in 2011 for his role as Eric Taylor in Friday Night Lights. He’s also appeared in Argo, King Kong and Manchester by the Sea.

Chris O’Dowd

Philip

Philip never expected to lose his brother, let alone become the guardian of his niece Nemo. The door-lock salesman is well-meaning and just trying his best to provide for Nemo, but his deeply awkward demeanor tends to get in the way of forming a close bond with her.

The Emmy-winning Irish actor is known for his roles in the Brit-com The IT Crowd as well as such films as The Sapphires, Friends with Kids and Bridesmaids.

India de Beaufort

Ms. Arya

Hoping to help Nemo acclimate to her new school, Ms. Arya goes above and beyond to make sure the young girl feels welcome. At times, her chipper personality and optimistic outlook on life can be too much for Nemo, who’s just trying to retreat and quietly grieve her dad.

The British actor and singer has starred in Younger2 Broke Girls and Kevin (Probably) Saves the World.

Humberly González

Graciela

Slumberland isn’t a place for fun, but Graciela knows how to show visitors a good time. With her stellar dance moves and sparkling red dress, this dream dancer is a pro at creating distractions. Flip is hyper-focused at all times, but even Graciela can make the outlaw swoon.

González is known for her roles in series such as Ginny & Georgia, Workin’ Moms and Utopia Falls.

Weruche Opia

Agent Green

Watch out for this dream cop. Agent Green might be 160 years old, but she moves fast and will stop you in your tracks at any moment. She’s also after the secret map that’s helping guide Flip and Nemo through Slumberland and will do anything to get her hands on it — even if it means freezing them in Slumberland for all eternity.

The British-Nigerian actor and entrepreneur was nominated for a British Academy Television Award for her role in I May Destroy You and has starred in When Love Happens and Sliced.
