What happens in The Resident Season 1?

The series documents the lives of the medical staff at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital as they deal with on-the-job crises, work-life balance, and romantic woes. The Resident Season 1 follows justice-driven senior resident Conrad; Conrad’s trainee, the newly minted doctor, Devon, who’s quickly thrown to the wolves when the ER becomes short-staffed; and veteran surgeon Dr. Bell, who’s keeping his own medical diagnosis a secret, despite its devastating effects on some of his patients.
