‘Big Mouth’ and ‘Human Resources’ Will Mature into New Seasons

They grow up so fast. Adult animated series Big Mouth and its spin-off Human Resources have been renewed, news that should delight Hormone Monsters and devastate anyone PMS-ing.

Big Mouth, the award-winning gross-out comedy about suburban teens undergoing the horrors (and occasional glories) of puberty, has been renewed through Seasons 6 and 7. Created by IRL best friends Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg, Big Mouth features a slew of stellar series regulars, including John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Ayo Edebiri, Jessi Klein and Kroll himself. The show is set to return later this year.

Spin-off series Human Resources has been renewed for a second season. Human Resources takes a behind-the-scenes look at the creatures — including Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and Love Bugs — that help dictate every aspect of human development, from childhood to pregnancy to retirement and more. In other words, they’re chaos agents, but life without a little chaos is no life at all.

All of the Human Resources series regulars are returning, including Kroll (Maury the Hormone Monster), Rudolph (Connie the Hormone Monstress), Aidy Bryant (Emmy the Love Bug), Randall Park (Pete the Logic Rock), Keke Palmer (Rochelle the Love Bug), Brandon Kyle Goodman (Walter the Love Bug) and David Thewlis (the Shame Wizard). And here’s hoping for more Shame Wizard in the new season; we could listen to him listing everything we should be ashamed of in that spooky voice of his for hours.
