    Heartland Draws Jessica Chastain into the Dark Heart of Nashville

    The Academy Award winner stars in a new country-music-infused thriller this November.

Get ready to explore the Heartland of Nashville with Jessica Chastain as your guide when it comes to Netflix on Nov. 13.

In the new thriller, the Academy Award winner stars as Misty Jones, a retired country music legend who left the spotlight behind but is now searching for her missing niece (played by real-life country singer-songwriter Carter Faith). But old secrets and new mysteries soon come to light, drawing Misty down into the rotten underbelly of her old hometown. 

From Country Strong writer-director Shana Feste, Heartland is a musical journey through the dark. Read on to learn more about the new film, before it comes to Netflix this fall.

What is Heartland about?

Former country megastar Misty Jones comes out of seclusion to investigate the disappearance of her niece, a rising country musician, and must grapple with her own past and Nashville’s seedy underbelly. Misty’s search uncovers a murky side of the city where no one, herself included, is who they seem.
