We’re taking it back to the halls of Hollywood Arts High School. 

Hollywood Arts, a spin-off of the hit Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious, which took its final bow in 2013, will premiere on Netflix on Oct. 15. 

Daniella Monet, who starred as Trina Vega during the original show’s four-season run, will reprise her role as an aspiring actor who still hasn’t gotten her big break. Hijinks ensue when she returns to her alma mater to teach a whole new generation of performing arts students. 

“Coming back as Trina alongside such a dynamic, powerful cast of newcomers is something I feel very lucky and grateful to do,” Monet shared. “Victorious was in a lot of ways life-changing for all of us. Our cast is forever bonded by that experience, and to think that I have an opportunity to steward anything close to that is a feeling I can’t begin to describe.”

What is Hollywood Arts about?

Trina is back at Hollywood Arts High School, and this time she’s stepping behind the desk. The struggling performer finds herself filling in as a substitute teacher at the prestigious school, where she surprises herself by inspiring a group of ambitious teens.

Monet will be joined by an up-and-coming cast, including:

• Taylen Biggs (13-year-old celebrity interviewer) 
• Rex (Robbie Shapiro’s beloved ventriloquist dummy)

Yvette Nicole Brown (Community) is also set to make a guest appearance. That’s right: Principal Helen is back and better than ever.

What about the creative team?

Monet serves as the show’s executive producer. She’s joined by Jake Farrow (Victorious, iCarly) and Samantha Martin (Henry Danger, Danger Force), who will take on the duties of showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios for Netflix.

The pilot episode will be directed and executive produced by Jonathan Judge (The Really Loud House, My Weird School).
