In 2026, Formula 1: Drive to Survive fans have a new way to go deeper into the sport through a new collaboration between Apple and Netflix. For the first time, Drive to Survive will be available to stream on both Netflix (globally) and Apple TV (US only) as Season 8 launches and takes viewers through the thrills, shake-ups, and triumphs of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship™.

Whether you’re a casual viewer who fell in love with Formula 1 through Drive to Survive or a die-hard enthusiast tuning in to each race weekend throughout the year, the collaboration between Apple TV and Netflix provides more ways to engage with the sport. This year, Apple TV becomes the exclusive US broadcaster for Formula 1, and as part of this collaboration, Netflix is also bringing the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix live to viewers in the U.S. from May 22-24, giving Drive to Survive fans a chance to see the rivalries they’ve watched for years play out in real-time.

It’s time to zip up the race suits and buckle in for more behind-the-scenes insight and never-before-seen footage as Season 8 of Formula 1: Drive to Survive follows the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship™, the 75th year of the pinnacle of motor racing. With a group of six rookies entering the grid and new regulations on the horizon for 2026, the stakes are growing and the margin of error shrinking as the 10 teams and 20 drivers fight for points, podiums, and championship trophies.

What is Season 8 about? 

The 2025 Formula One World Championship™ was one for the books, and Season 8 of Drive to Survive captures the on- and off-track moments that shaped a year of teammate rivalries, driver changes, and management shifts. Interviews with drivers give fans a view inside the helmets of the athletes competing at the highest level of motorsport as they let the cameras into their paddock and homes. With a championship battle that comes down to the final checkered flag, Season 8 is not one to miss. 

Where can I watch the 2026 F1 race season live?

After diving into the all-access pass of Drive to Survive Season 8, US viewers can tune in on Apple TV for the 2026 F1 race season, beginning with the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix that takes place over the weekend of March 5. Starting this year, Apple TV is the exclusive US broadcaster of F1, delivering comprehensive coverage with all practice, qualifying races, sprint sessions, and Grand Prix available to Apple TV subscribers all season long. 

Additionally, fans in the US can watch the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix live on Netflix from May 22-24.
