Get ready to return to Veldt. Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire may have ended on a cliffhanger, but have no fear, rebels: Part Two is here to continue the saga.
In the sequel to Snyder’s space-bound epic, Kora (Sofia Boutella) and her revolutionary recruits face an enemy they thought they’d defeated: Admiral Atticus Noble (Ed Skrein) and the Imperium legion he commands from the bridge of his flagship dreadnought, the King’s Gaze. It will take all of their combined skills to free the villagers of Veldt from the grip of Motherworld — and to free themselves from their own tragic pasts.
The first Rebel Moon stands alone, but Snyder was glad to have the opportunity to use the two halves of the epic for very different purposes. “My hopes are that because we were able to do two films, that we’re able to really invest in the characters for the first film so that the audience gets to really understand why they’re fighting for the villagers of Veldt,” he told Netflix. In Part Two, it’s time for that fight to begin. Read on to learn more about the battle for the future of the Rebel Moon universe.

Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle, the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.

Yes. Snyder will be releasing two director’s cuts on Aug. 2, only on Netflix:
With the new director’s cuts, you’ll be able to delve further into the mythology and madness of Snyder’s epic sci-fi saga. The two new cuts feature more creatures, more history, and more action sequences. Bloodier, sexier, and altogether more epic: that’s the Zack Snyder promise. You can watch the red band trailer for the director’s cut, here.
Snyder is known for his lavish expanded cuts: Watchmen, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League all saw lengthy extended editions in the months following their releases. Rebel Moon is no different — both films will receive R-rated expansions, a notion planned from the very beginning of the production process. “Let’s make just two movies back-to-back because it’s too epic to do in one film,” Snyder told Netflix about his original pitch. “Oh, and let’s do an extended cut that we’re going to shoot different scenes for. Stuff that people just don’t do.”
Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver is now streaming on Netflix. The Imperium will never forget this day.

Rebel Moon is expanding into the world of music with an all-new companion EP entitled Rebel Moon: Songs of the Rebellion. With five songs from artists Jessie Reyez, Tokischa, Tainy, aespa, TOKiMONSTA, Black Coffee, and Kordhell, Songs of the Rebellion is the Veldt soundtrack you’ve been waiting for. Each track reflects the film’s characters and their fight for freedom, drawing from different genres and cultures from around the world. It’s a musical journey curated to reflect Snyder’s two films, from artists who are all warriors in their own way.

After assembling a team of warriors to defend Veldt from the might of the Imperium, Kora and company set a course for the industrial way station of Gondival — only to be interrupted by the scheming Kai (Charlie Hunnam), who turns them over to Noble for a quick payday. All seems lost, until Gunnar (Huisman) saves the day, freeing the team and setting the stage for an explosive showdown.
The rebels fight Motherworld’s troops to a standstill, although guerrilla warrior Darrian Bloodaxe (Ray Fisher) sacrifices himself by taking down an enemy aircraft. Kora faces off against Noble and sends him plunging over the edge of Gondival, which floats above a low-orbiting moon. The rebels then head to Veldt, certain that the battle has already been won.
But back on Gondival, Noble’s body is recovered, and an unnatural technological resurrection returns him to the land of the living — and more ruthless than ever. On a mysterious astral plane, Noble meets with Kora’s bloodthirsty adoptive father, Regent Balisarius (Fee), who orders him to return to Veldt — and to return Kora to Balisarius, alive.
